EUREF Campus is a carbon-neutral industrial park, incorporating the world’s most advanced decarbonization technologies. It seamlessly integrates various solutions such as decarbonization, renewable energy, storage, heating, cooling, smart energy and smart transport, to achieve the utmost efficiency and cost-effectiveness. We welcome diverse collaboration partners to join us in actively addressing climate change, fostering innovation in urban and mining carbon neutrality domains.
Established in 2008, the Euref Campus in Berlin stands as a pioneering model for achieving carbon neutrality within an urban district, showcasing the practical realization of climate protection objectives through intelligent energy solutions that operate within economic constraints. In 2014, the Berlin Euref Campus achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing Germany’s federal government’s carbon dioxide reduction targets, thereby becoming the world’s inaugural modern district to attain carbon neutrality without the reliance on subsidies or carbon trading mechanisms. Its achievements have garnered prestigious recognition, including the United Nations Future Habitat Award.
At the core of the Euref Campus’s mission to optimize energy systems efficiently is the establishment of an extensive ecosystem rooted in renewable energy and low-carbon technologies. This ecosystem fosters collaboration among a diverse array of companies and service providers, each introducing their innovative products and technologies. Over the past decade, the Euref Campus has played host to nearly 200 businesses, research institutions and startups, all contributing their expertise to this ambitious initiative.
